A brand new photography adventure to the Sahara Desert in Morocco led by experienced tour leader and fine art photographer Jonathan Chritchley. This fabulous 8 day tour starts and ends at a beautiful luxury hotel in Marrakech, from where you'll explore the city with Jonathan and an experienced local guide. After two days you'll be picked up from the hotel by large, especially adapted 4x4s, each one carrying 3 guests, driven by 3 members of our wonderful ground team, and head towards the magnificent Sahara Desert. On the way you'll encounter ancient fortified cities (Kasbah), cross the Atlas Mountains, meet local people, and stay overnight at a beautiful traditional hotel in the Draa Valley. After a superb meal and a good night's sleep you'll head off again, entering the Sahara and making your way to the luxury tented camp that will be your base for three nights. This is very much a 'glamping' experience as each tent has its own double bed, bathroom facilities and toilet! From there you'll photograph the magnificent dunes, experience a 4x4 dune safari, photograph Nomads in their encampment, and even participate in a camel ride to an oasis for a fantatsiuc lunch experience if you fancy it! There'll be dinner under the desert skies, chats around the fire, processing time and plenty of good local food and wine. Then finally it will be time to head back to Marrakech, retracing your tracks back to the Draa Valley for an overnight stay, then back to the luxury of the hotel in Marrakech for the last meal together before flights the next day.
