Dungeness Creative Workshop
07th - 10th February, 2022
Dungeness Creative workshop. Shrouded in mystery and intrigue, the ghostly shores of Dungeness in Kent, England have long been the source of inspiration for artists, poets and filmakers. Abandoned fishing boats line the impossibly wide pebble beaches (classed as the UKs only desert), and wooden fishermen's houses stand like beacons, forever watchful and weathered by a thousand storms. There is so much to shoot here, and yet it is very hard for photographers to access these days, with a £1500 daily fee in place that puts many off. But not us.
Staying at an historic hotel in the nearby town of Rye, you will visit this very special coastline with the very talented fine art photographer Paul Sanders for 2 full days, working on the beaches, around the fishing boats and lighthouse, happy in the knowledge that all fees have been paid. Paul will direct and guide you where necessary, and being a Creative Workshop there will be processing sessions, image reviews and slideshows to ensure you get the very most from this incredible location. There will also be 2 further shoots along the coast around Rye and of course plenty of time for great food and conversation. An Ocean Capture classic in one of the most inspirational locations in the British Isles.
Ocean Capture Creative Photography Workshops focus on developing your creative eye, trying different techniques and avoiding the clichés. We will not be looking for the 'usual' photograph but encouraging you to see your own story and develop your own voice.
