NEW FOR 2012 - COURSES & WORKSHOPS ON THE SOUTH COAST OF ENGLAND
Starting this spring we at Ocean Capture are offering a series of photography workshops aimed at all levels of photographer on the very lovely South Coast of England.
The courses are friendly, relaxed and casual, and we will be on hand at all times to guide and offer assistance where necessary. The groups are small, with a maximum of 4 people, small enough to ensure both comfort and personal attention, yet large enough create a group environment, bounce ideas, chat etc. Whether you are an experienced photographer or a complete beginner, the fact that we only take small groups mean that we can adapt your trip to your particular level. ADVANCED B&W and LONG EXPOSURE WORKSHOP - THE SOLENT
TOUR LEADER: Jonathan Chritchley
Led by Ocean Capture founder and renowned monochrome seascape photographer Jonathan Chritchley, this new 3 day photo workshop is based in the very beautiful sailing and fishing town of Lymington in the New Forest.
ACCOMMODATION We will be based in a comfortable hotel close to the famous Lymington quay and yacht marina.
LOCATIONS We will visit some great locations over the three days ideally suited to black and white photography, particularly the minimalist long exposure style. These will include Lepe, Hurst, Highcliff and Milford on Sea.
HOW THE DAYS WORK We start early for a dawn shoot, then break for breakfast and a good chat. We then adjourn to the hotel for downloads, editing and post processing. You will work through the processing techniques Jonathan uses in his professional work and take some of your best shots from the morning through the workflow process to the 'ready to print' stage. There will then be a break until mid afternoon when we will meet again for a second shoot at the end of the day.
WHAT WILL THE WORKSHOP COVER This is a workshop primarily based at photographers of a good level to brush up on long exposure and editing techniques, conversion to black and white, use of filters etc.

JURASSIC COAST
TOUR LEADER: Kathy White
3 day workshop based on the stunning National Heritage coastline in West Dorset led by the very talented KATHY WHITE - see her work HERE. Kathy is a professional land and seascape photographer who lives in Dorset and knows the secret spots better than anyone. She is also a skilled teacher both in photography and editing/post processing and she and I have worked together on many occasions. We have put together a series of workshops aimed at different skill levels - beginner, refresher and advanced - throughout the autumn and early winter - more details to follow.
ACCOMMODATION You will be based in historic SWANAGE, with it's lovely beaches, old pier and easy access to the best photographic locations on the south coast
LOCATIONS We will photograph much of the stunning coastline - Burton Bradstock, Chesil Beach, Church Ope, Pulpit Rock and West Weares in Portland, and Durdle Door and Lulworth (weekend workshops) and of course in and around Swanage.
