Biarritz Airport, along with other airports in the Region, are served by a number of “low cost” airlines which offer competitively priced flights, all of which are easily accessible on the Internet. We do not book these flights as part of your photo holiday, as in our experience clients like to use accumulated frequent flyer air miles or perhaps combine other plans pre or post trip.
We appreciate that you want to be spending as much time as possible enjoying the photography and not travelling, so in order not to lose valuable “shooting time”, we recommend using Biarritz airport which is located some 25 minutes from Hossegor and is served by:

BY TRAIN
For those clients who prefer that their feet remain on “la terre”, Biarritz can be reached using the reliable and fast TGV train. The station at Dax is only 20 minutes from Soustons and we would be delighted to meet you there should you prefer this mode of travel. Links to the TGV can be made from all over Europe. Pick ups from Biarritz airport and local train stations (Bayonne/Biarritz)are included in the holiday price. Other pickup points may be available (by arrangement only) and may incur additional charges.
Flight times to Biarritz from the UK are approximately 1.5 hours, to Bordeaux just a bit less. Other airports within 2 hours are Pau Pyrenees (France) and Bilbao (Spain).
Apart from great photography locations, the area is also full of other things you can do while you're here:
Golf - 4 excellent courses within 10 minutes.
Surfing/Bodyboarding - All equipment can be hired close to the hotel.
Windsurfing/Sailing/Kayaking - 15 minutes walk around the lake and you can hire everything you need.
Cycling - Excellent cycle paths run for miles through the forest, bikes are offered free by the Domaine de Bellegarde.
Walking - Empty beaches run for 100 miles, wooded walks through the pine forests etc.
Scuba Diving - There is a dive club at Capbreton, 12 miles away.
Horseriding - There is a stables about 5 miles away where you can hire horses and ride through the forest and on to the beach - they also cater for beginners and run pony treks.
